Universal Studio Singapore

Going there brings back tonnes of memories. Especially going with KaiLi and Xiang Ting. A pity that Adrian, Eileen and Greg wasnt able to make it. Nevertheless, it was still a fulfiling trip with new kids on the block to make up for Adrian, Eileen and Greg. Da-ta... We have Ben, CJ and Duke on the block. Ooo, just realised their names are in alphabetical order lolx. Ok, kinda bo liao :p

Was there first thing in the morning and stayed through till it closes. A pity the park and the number of rides were nowhere the size of that in Orlando but I would say that the rides and shows were of Orlando quality. =) In fact, the rides are exactly the same.

We were looking high and low for funnel cakes but instead, we saw prata. Is that an Asian version of funnel cake?

Anyway, funnel cake is not a waffle. I think it's some sorta cake being fried till it's damn crispy before serving it with ice-cream. Yummy!
Dun think I will be going to Universal again within these few years. It's kinda expensive and since the rides are similar after 4 years throughout different countries, there are no novelty to look forward to.
Seriously, a little nostalgic but I do miss my carefree life in Orlando, very badly. Those were the days, without worries, practically eat, work, sleep, play and yes, freedom and more freedom. Anyway, life is as such that we can never rewind it so yeah, gonna learn to let go and move on and get to reality. =)

Overdue Birthday Post

Woke up with more than 100 Facebook email notifications and SMSes with friends sending regards to me. Am really blessed and loved by all my friends.

Went to school happily though and about 10am, received a call from the office to go down immediately. Was pretty puzzled but there were flowers for me! The flowers were not sent by him and up to today, I have no idea who was it except for constant guessing. No names written. He was pretty amazed that I still get flowers from others besides him lolx.

It was a long day at school and I was feeling pretty tired and lazy to go out already though kinda excited. Haha. Told him that I can go earlier so that I can come home earlier to sleep but he refused saying that he has viewing to do. So no choice, waited for about 2 hours till he came over.

We drove to 1 Rochester Park. Was my first time there. This kind of place is too 'atas' for people like us. Food portion small yet expensive lolx... No occasion I wun go there anymore.. haha.. Sounds very auntie right? But well, I'm really not into high class dining. I dun even enjoy wine. So what I graduated from SMU? Those etiquette and wine tasting sessions doesn't impact me much. My kind of happy things are much simpler and cheaper to satisfy haha. Bring me to Aston, I will be as happy too. But anyway, that place was quiet and romantic. Pretty good for heart to heart talk and to relax with your loved ones =) Erm btw, I forgot the name of that particular restaurant that we went =X

As usually we are not able to finish up a main course by our own, we tend to share 1 main course and order more appetizers. This time round, we did the same but the main course and appetizers turned out to be of mini portion haha. However, it tasted great!

When I was done eating, the waitresses came over with a lighted cake and a box in their hands and presented it to me. I was elated that he actually drove over earlier to deposit the cake and present so that it would be a surprise for me as I did not see any present nor cake in the car earlier. So much for the thoughts =) He said he had no idea what to get for me but a comment i casually made about 1 year ago rang in his head all these while. I totally cannot remember that I said that but he reminded me.

Yup, and so it was. Seriously I was telling him. I do not need all these branded stuffs but he thinks I needed it for wedding occasions as I tend to go empty handed during weddings as I do not have a proper bag to house my stuffs. Anyway, the waitresses were more anxious than me. They told me to open it to see what is inside the box as they wanted to see it. So funny.

And so this was it... my 26th birthday... I'm officially in my late twenties! =p

Leaving a quote to ponder

The Happiest People Do not necessarily have the best things in life
They simply appreciate what they have around them!

Dun you agree? =)
