The weeks just BOOMZ

Many things happened within the weeks. So much to update but am damn lazy to do so. November and December are months which causes big holes in my pockets. Not only do I have a total of 5 weddings to attend, Pee's birthday also falls on the same month, friends' birthdays and then Xmas will come. Also, I've actually gave away quite a bit of sum for some charities, both humans and animals. =p

14 November was the wedding of Esther and Adrian. Adrian being so sweet as ever planned everything around the bride. 14 November was the bride's birthday and he even started the ROM at 11.14am, not to mention his car plate is also 1114. =) so sweet rite? A couple meant to be together, a couple perfected by God's love. They are both very active in church and I can feel that they are very much in love even after 5 years of courtship. The speech that Adrian made on stage was so mushy but I guessed Esther must have been grinning inside her =D Their wedding were of some high socialites for Esther's parents were quite somebody and the wedding dinner consists of many foreigners flying in. Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Americas, Japanese... You name it, they could have been there. As such, yup, the overall feel was pretty grand. Not only did they have deejays as MC, they even have these two superstar singers singing through the nite. Was told that Adrian loved the singers so Esther had secretly brought them in for the night at $1400! Gosh~~ But I guess it was a pleasant surprise. On the other hand, Adrian surprised her by making a birthday video for her. Sounds like some fairy tale? Hehe... At work, Adrian has always been caring towards frens close to him so imagine how well he would treat his wife. Anyway, the cost per table is not cheap at all so you know my ang bao has to be something too. So, my first red bomb... Oh anyway, Congratulations to you brother! =)

The second one was Ivy's. Equally expensive tables. Haha... Ivy and Issac took their wedding photos in Hong Kong and they were really pretty. Most of my ex-colleagues said about the wonders of photoshop too. I guess it's really true to some extent that 一分钱一分货, if you pay more, you will get quality goods/services. Ivy and Issac were more shy because their speeches were really general. They basically just thanked everyone. Haha. Wishing them a blissful marriage too =)

The next one will be Pei Ling and Teck Heng on the 6 December, followed by Zhen Yuan on the 21 December and it will end off with Eddy and Yvonne's. Phew~~ It's pretty scary actually to get red bombs every now and then. But I guess it's parts and parcel of life for after which, I believed the next phase will be baby showers from these people...

Anyway, was not able to celebrate his birthday on his actual day due to the wedding. Had to prepare everything in advance. Did nothing spectacular, simple meal, simple walk, simple present and he was already so contented. Not even a birthday cake. Just an ice cream dessert. Haha. Wanted to get tickets for GV Grand but everytime it's so fully booked and they do not open days in advance for reservations. Front rows are left but to pay about $75 for front rows, I rather give it a miss. So he said he wanted to eat Japanese food and was so looking forward to order unagi. Went to Liang Court and saw this Ta Po Po Japanese restaurant with long queues and lots of paper cuttings. I've heard about it but am not sure how it tasted. However, I saw the menu and saw that sushi can cost up to $20 per plate (2 pcs only hor). We decided to go to another Japanese restaurant as we are super lazy to queue. He wanted to opt for Sakae Sushi to save my pocket but I declined. Anyway, I forgot the name of the restaurant we went to but there were no unagi in there! Haha. So sad! We took a long walk around Clarke Quay to the car park and started to talk about 'what if'.

I guess in life, we should not even look at 'what if' cos it means regrets, but at times, it could be due to good reasons. We were wondering, what if we were not together, will we be holding the hands of other people and walking pass each other now? What if we were still with our ex, will we be this happy too? Going through all these made me wanna treasure things around me more because in life, we cannot afford to have too many "what ifs" and whatever I am having now, it is God's arrangement, it is fate. I should be thankful that I'm not holding the hands of a jealous or habitual smoker/drinker. I should be thankful that I'm no longer with my ex (for those who sort of know what happen will agree).

Btw, this is my 6th week at FX. Still as free. Perhaps a little more things to do but is not able to keep my whole day busy at all. Still waiting... waiting for work to drop... I dunno how long can I tahan such life though. Many felt that it's a perfect job, get paid and do nothing. But they dun understand how difficult it is for time to pass...
