This post came in way too late cos besides not having time, the pictures were not ready. Emily, my close cousin, whom I confined everything to since young was finally married on 31st May after a 7 (or is it 8?) years of relationship with Justin. The teenager whom she used to complain that he's not caring to today, a grown up man, who is more sensible. Perhaps age really makes people think hard and mature.
Anyway, it was my first time being a bridesmaid. Quite fun actually. Enjoyed myself though it's pretty tiring and the stupid weather in Singapore is really sickening. She had asked me to be one of the 'sisters' initially but I was too shy to join in the 'tekanging' of the 'brothers'. They brushed their teeth with Wasabi, they ate tubs of ice cream to find the keys, they passed eggs under the pants. Thanks to my cousin's buddies. They were a bunch of tough 'sisters'. All for fun's sake. Am glad Emily was happy with it and she was very appreciative and thankful for the help rendered that day.
I began to realised that getting marriage is really not a 2 person's matters. I realised that there are so much to be done and planned and that honestly, without her 'sisters', there will be no one to assist to mend the reception, no one to keep track of the 'best' time, no one to help her to put on her clothes (one person can't do it seriously), no one to put the ang baos in place. Really alot of helpers are needed even if she takes away the 'tekang' part.
Anyway, was looking back at a picture taken years back. Look how much we have all grown up.

Congratulations Emily & Justin. May God bless you both with happiness, peace and health always! =D
