Dedicated to People Who Matters Part 1

Boring so I've decided to do up this post to introduce those who really matters to me. My best buddies and family so pardon me if I put ugly pictures of you.. Can't help it if you are really ugly lol... k kidding ya =) Oh, these are not in order so don't be jealous hor keke

My brothers, Christopher & Benney:

We always fight when we are young, especially with Christ. Among the three of us, Christ is that 'bad' child. He's also doing mischiveous things to anger my parents. It's a common sight to see mum chasing after him with a cane and he will snatch it away and throw it out of the window and dad slapping him whenever he runs out to play. He will disturb me, snatched my toys for no reasons, burn the legs of my barbie dolls and make me cry. We really fight and kick each other alot. haha... He will then use the WWF method to slam Benney. Benney on the other hand has similar characterists as me. He's a kind boy and definitely more mature than Christ. A kid that grows up with electronic devices such as game boy, Play station, he was an introvert and lacks confidence. For the past 3 years, he began to open up and am happy he's o ut with his friends instead of playing computer games. Btw, Christ is 1 yr younger than me and Benney is 5 years younger than me. =) Today as we grow up, we no longer fight but talk on issues but the bad habits and personalities still stays in each of us. For example, Christ, he is still that 'bad' child making my parents worried, about his job, about his drinking habits, about his savings. Benney on the other hand has less problems and if fact, I was so afraid that he would follow his footsteps of his brother. Thank God it did not happen. Perhaps God is watching after him closely too because I realised there are really alot of similarities between us and Benney. Everyone has grown up.

Mum, dad:

Hmm, seems like a long time since we took a family picture because I can't seem to locate any. Anyway, mum, a home maker is totally opposite from my dad. She's quieter but dad is a joker even in front of my friends. Surprisingly, my mum does not nag but instead, dad nags at us. Mum is a clean freak as most of you know. People who has come to my home for the first time would think that we just moved in a year or two but I've been staying here for ten years already. She wipes every single spot daily and when we spill any drinks on the floor when we were young, she will come screaming away and mop the whole unit again. So guys, now you know why I always ask you all to wash your legs when you stepped in? haha... But no fears, she's a nice lady. Dad used to be so sloppy but from the training of my mum, has also adopt ed a clean lifestyle haha... Dad is a swift talker and jokes around with anyone he sees, even my friends.

Ben:
One look and you know what is his profession. My best friend, my brother, my adviser, my encourager, my nagger, my clown, my other half. Always forgetful, telling me he is old already so I cannot fault him. -_-""" I take it off to him man. I can never win arguments or debates with him. He can turn black into white and vice versa. Best is to keep quiet. haha.. anyway, he has got a pretty good temper, just like me, ahem. Always making me flip with laughters. A very independent, sensible, secure guy. It's good to be around him. Perhaps someone older really does know how to take good care of their love ones. Btw, he's super filial. Anyway, he's one that you either likes him or hates him. Extreme cases... For me, I'm sure you know the answer. keke. Glad to have you around!

Let's go on to my secondary school buddies:

Rosnizawati:
We bitch about anything, everything under the sun. My encourager, my adviser, someone who takes my craps and hear my complains. But babe, your temper sucks haha.. not to me but to you know who la.. :P... She doesnt' care how people think of her and if you get into her black list.. keke.. good luck. All those crazy days in secondary school where we had fun dancing, singing, organizing prefectorial activities. Oh ya, she's one tough cookie, one fierce tigeress.. haha. Now that we are all grown up and this babe here is engaged, meeting up time is really scarce. I know this is parts and parcels of life. Honestly, am glad she is part of my life. A truly reliable pal. Hugs!

Zhiwei:

This chap address my father by his name everytime when he talks to me. Mock at my surname, ho ho ho... calls me the powder gal, ah bui, ah lian... what else? :p Knows that my dad has a tatoo and started making fun of it. But I was never angry with all these comments. He is fun to be with. Anyway, the first encounter with him was when Mr. Lim, our secondary 1 teacher puts this monitor beside me. I thought he was kinda nerdy but girls in my class thinks I'm sitting with some Aaren Kwok at that time.. lolx... Bro, are you smiling or pointing fingers at me now? Anyway, he was wondering why Mr. Lim put him beside this fat girl who became a swan later. lolx.. ok ok enough. Anyway, he has been really a good brother to me. When I get bullied, when I feel down, when I have family issues, he is one of those who really understands me. Living near is good as we always encourage each other when we are faced with issues. Now that both of us are busy, but inside my heart, I know how much effort both of us has put in for this friendship! Cheers bro!

WeiJun:

He is like a wolf in a sheep's skin. lolx.. anyway kidding. One look and you think he's super goody goody. But boy, he's FOC -full of crap. But honestly, used to be kinda shy and quiet when I just got to know him. Then he morphed. lolx. A very nice guy, seriously, great personality, great characteristics, sensible and humorous. Hope to see you more too! Hurry up get done with your studies then you would not be so busy and stressed up! Jia you!

Kaili:
My first friend in school and it was the start of our friendship, all the way from Poly till Uni days. Oh, my fellow dental colleague too keke. Those were the fun times. Remember once we did a Geography project and colour photocopying was just in place so we tried to act smart by photocopying like 3 to 4 pages. In the end, these pages cost more than a brand new textbook. Oh, we failed the project. lolx.. that was the most stupid thing we ever done. used to go to her home to play with water... yes you are right.. we go to her home to play with water and stay over like a chalet since it's empty. We get many pails of water, splash it on the floor and start to slide lolx... gosh, how childish can we be in secondary school ahha... Oh, she used to look lian and I thought she was one too. haha. Anyway, we grown up. Thank God actually that almost all of us moved up to the North West area at the same time, all except Shu Hua =( ...

Shu Hua:

My Chawamushi girl. lolx... That falling image of her stays in my memory forever. We once worked as a waitress in a Japanese restaurant and once she was carrying the Chawamushi when she slipped and all the eggs smashed. It's not tat I'm evil but the position of her and the eggs will really send anyone into laughter, even herself! haha.. Anyway, this babe is really one of a kind. She's really one cool chick. Tough, rough yet feminine.. I really dunno how to put across but she's like Ella (SHE) kind of category of girls whom guys would want to get close to challenge her. Although we meet up the least with her, but in all important occasions, she's always remembered. A joy to people around her. Miss ya!

Wei Qiang:

I can't find his picture anywhere. =( He's a very chatty guy. Even in secondary school, he knows how to respect girls. Maybe that's why he got hooked up pretty fast. ahha.. Admire his faithfulness that his first gf would most probably also be his last =) They have been together for the longest time, like 11 year now? *Clap clap* Another smart fellow. On a scholarship and been studying really diligently and works part time when he can. I hope to go for your wedding soon man! =)

That's all for now. I will update on my Poly, Uni and other friends soon! =) Too much to type for now.

YES!!!

Quick and short update! I got the 2nd interview for M1!!! Yeah!! PRAISE LORD keke =)

My HatchDay

Busy Busy Busy Day.

Early in the morning went for exam at Suntec. Squeeze in the bus with all the PMEB. phew... I think working in CBD area sucks. Anyway, no birthday luck cos I failed the test. haha.. What to do? Never work hard.. Re-take another month lor. After the test, I got like 20 SMSes with well wishes. Thank you buddies, frens and relatives =)

Noon, went to M1 for interview. Smart move, take leave on birthday to go interview so no one will suspect. haha...

Evening, something I look forward to as I do not know what the heck we are going to do. keke. Fetch me from M1 to home to change. Still unaware what he has planned. Left for the 'secret place' soon after. Got blind folded and not allowed to peek where he was driving to. But I was quite smart cos he hinted it's a straight route after Cashew Road. From my home, the only possible place to be if we are going straight will be Clementi (which I doubt so) so the only possibility is Vivo City. Then he told me we were reaching but I felt that the road was like an S course so I asked if there were many joggers. In my heart, I think I know where we are. =) so... Here are the pictures:

Anyway, this has always been what I wanted to do years ago but it never came to pass. Imagine how excited I was, like a kid, when I know I can FINALLY try this. =)

Thanks for everything~~!! Thanks you all for the well wishes too! Hugs!

Reflecting Back

Seriously, May is not a good month for me. I've been really tighted up and busy with work, exam, interviews, yet, so badly wanted rest. Finally, I'm able to sit down today to pen down what had happened all these weeks.

After sending like XXX number of resumes since 1.5 months ago, things started to pick up and I began to hear from them. Peeps, the lead time is 1.5 months so be paitient! Anyway, was shortlisted for an interview with Gan Hup Lee (if case you dunno, this is the company where our rice came from), Jurong Bird Park (need me to say? this is where the birds are), Prima (bread lor), M1 and next, Health Promotion Board coming next. *Sweat*

Though wanting to leave badly but I'm not jumping from one hell to another so am pretty choosy at times. So far, M1 seems to be the place suitable for human. haha... Hoping to get a second round soon.

Gan Hup Lee: Got the offer on the spot. Had the interview with the manager and after awhile, ask me if I would be able to wait and meet the director. Of cos, I agreed. Don't want to waste time traveling to such ulu place. Oh well, another traditional SME, family business. Sound alot like the one I'm in. Got a little intimidated by the director. Putting me down, telling me I'm so green, asking me to take a pay cut which I refused, yet offer me the job higher than my current pay. Mind games... Anyway, I did not take it up as it seems that I have to be the trainer, the marketer, the delivery woman, the sales person. All in one for a pathetic 10% increment. In short, BSBH in hokkien. Talked to a few people and all felt that this job is really not suitable for me, for my personality, for my future. Ok next moved on...

Jurong Bird Park: On the same day, went back to this ulu place again for this interview. Lady is pretty nice. She's the manager. She's also new there. Told me the whole team is very young like me and her (I think she's 27?) which tells me that this place has very high turnover. Everything went well until she told me that people there worked overtime daily. Expected to be punctual but NOT expected to go home on time. Working hours are worst than what I'm having now! 8.30am to 6.30pm yet OT daily. Avg pple go back like 8 to 9pm. No wonder she always call me at those timing to confirm my interview. This puts me off totally. I do not want to sell my life away, away from the city and town, Monday to Friday, stuck at Jurong Bird Park. May start to talk bird language along the way man ... lolx... anyway, have not heard from her since. I'm just glad that God has show me signs that this was not the job for me too. After the interview, I felt so uneasy. I felt so burdened for whatever reason and I just kept pondering on it through the night. Then the next day, Adrian told me his gf has a friend there who just tendered. Work there is crazy. Senior manager is tough thus the high turnover. After hearing that, all is well This is not the door that God opens... =) Move on again...

Prima: Even before I go for the interview, I cancelled it. Again, God suddenly send people to tell me the culture about the company. Again, a traditional company. Quite a mess now. People wants to get out just like how I'm feeling now. ;p

M1: My best bet. Really hope to get in though. This was referred by Carine. Went for the interview on my birthday (early morning I went for exam and failed too), lady was nice, Hr was nice, benefits are good. They were surprised that my current job does not pay me OT and yet I have to work on alternate Saturday. To think that they are amazed makes me feel good as I know this would not happen at M1. Totally different job scope so kinda challenging and I have to learn from scratch. See if they call me back soon for the 2nd round...

Health Promotion Board: Coming... 29 May.. If M1 calls me, I will cancel this . ;p

So much for my job search updates.
